LDV Fleet Resource Hub
The LDV Fleet Resource Hub is a regional education and capacity-building initiative designed to support and accelerate the electrification of light duty vehicle (LDV) fleets operated by municipalities, public agencies, institutions, utilities and commercial organizations.
Many fleet decision makers face uncertainty about charging infrastructure, operational integration, winter performance, fleet planning and early engagement with utilities. The Hub provides a structured support system to address these gaps through curated resources, facilitated regional cohorts and guidance for fleet participants.
The goal is to equip fleet operators with the knowledge, confidence and step-by-step tools required to efficiently initiate charging infrastructure projects, from planning to design and implementation. The Hub model combines a national online repository with locally grounded engagement activities tailored to regional utilities, climate conditions and market realities.
Two regional hubs are being deployed:
- Prairie Hub (AB, SK, MB)
- Maritime Hub (NB, PEI, NS).
Each hub will have two phases of online activities :
- Workshops (1h) – November-December 2026 (see list of dates and registration links below)
- Cohort Sessions (2h) – January-March 2027 (dates and registration links will be published later)
Phase 1: LDV FLEET ELECTRIFICATION WORKSHOPS
Workshops are open to fleets, utilities, vendors and other stakeholders. Introductory in nature, these sessions will help identify specific needs for the cohort sessions that will follow. Workshop content will include engagement and discussion on barriers to electrification, organizational priorities, electrification stage as well as general EV knowledge. Topics may include utility/grid connection, vehicle selection, organizational change management, future-proofing beyond the first few vehicles and others.

Phase 2: LDV FLEET ELECTRIFICATION COHORT SESSIONS
Cohort sessions will include a short knowledge-sharing section in the form of presentations by Utilities and Service Vendors followed by organic peer discussions. Each regional hub will have one cohort with 3 sessions, each of which walks through one actionable stage of the electrification journey : 1) Readiness Assessment and Planning, 2) Evaluating Electrical Infrastructure, and 3) Procurement, Piloting and Training.
Peer networking will be encouraged and facilitated.

RESOURCE REPOSITORY (Coming soon)
In addition to the Regional Hub Workshops and Cohort Sessions, this project will include a resource repository where fleet operators will find a curated selection of national and regional resources: Studies, reports, case studies, etc.
