This September, LiBTec is bringing its community together in Ottawa for an in-person convening – and we want you there. From Policy to Practice: Advancing Canada’s Battery Innovation Ecosystem will gather leaders from government, industry, and research to advance meaningful dialogue on the next phase of Canada’s battery value chain. Spots are limited.

This event is hosted by the LiBTec Ottawa Summit Team: National Research Council of Canada, Transition Accelerator, Accelerate, and Electric Mobility Canada

What to Expect:

Day 1: Setting the Stage

The day opens with keynotes speakers and expert panels exploring how Canada’s industrial policy is driving battery innovation and what it takes to turn policy into real-world action. After lunch, attendees travel to NRC’s Montreal Road campus for a guided tour of the Battery Performance and Safety or Battery Materials research facilities. Note that transportation will be arranged for attendees. The day closes with a partner-hosted reception at 100 Sussex.

Day 2: Turning Ideas into Action (half day, optional)

Join a working session designed for those who want to go deeper. Interactive breakouts will tackle real challenges across collaborative R&D, innovation infrastructure, and the future of Canada’s Battery Innovation Roadmap.
