September 2018: EMC highlights
Over the summer months, Electric Mobility Canada undertook multiple meetings with representatives from several ministries and offices of the Federal Government, including Transport Canada, Environment and Climate Change Canada, Natural Resources Canada, Innovation, Science and Economic Development, Privy Council Office and the Prime Minister’s Office. From these meetings, EMC has submitted a strong pre-budget submission aimed at supporting Canada’s electromobility industry that has been well received. We will keep you informed of our progress and the results of our lobbying efforts.
We take this opportunity to inform you that Chantal Guimont has resigned from the position of President and CEO of Electric Mobility Canada to pursue other interests. We thank Chantal for her leadership, her hard work and commitment to electromobility and to the Association. It has been a pleasure to work with Chantal over the last four years.
The Board has already begun the process of identifying our Association’s next President and CEO. Catherine Kargas will assume the duties of President and CEO on an interim basis.
Catherine will be leading the fall Chapter meetings that are being scheduled and communicated to you. The members of the board look forward to connecting with you at these meetings.
For any questions, comments, concerns or suggestions, please do not hesitate to communicate with Catherine (ckargas@marcon-net.com) or Marie-Andrée Emond (m.a.emond@emc-mec.ca).
