En outre, 46 % des ventes de nouveaux camions de taille moyenne seront a\u0300 ze\u0301ro e\u0301mission d&#8217;ici la me\u0302me anne\u0301e. L&#8217;EPA a e\u0301galement propose\u0301 une re\u0300gle concernant les ve\u0301hicules lourds, conc\u0327ue pour que la moitie\u0301 des nouveaux bus et 25 % des nouveaux camions lourds vendus soient e\u0301lectriques d&#8217;ici a\u0300 2032.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Nous sommes heureux de constater que l&#8217;administration Biden a e\u0301te\u0301 inspire\u0301e par le leadership du Canada, suite a\u0300 la de\u0301cision du gouvernement canadien d&#8217;adopter un programme de re\u0301glementation des ventes de VZE afin de re\u0301duire les e\u0301missions de gaz a\u0300 effet de serre en acce\u0301le\u0301rant l&#8217;adoption des VZE. Certains constructeurs automobiles affirment que les re\u0301glementations spe\u0301cifiques au Canada ne sont pas ne\u0301cessaires et que notre pays devrait simplement suivre les re\u0300gles de l&#8217;EPA en matie\u0300re d&#8217;e\u0301missions. Bien que les re\u0300gles ame\u0301ricaines soient certainement un pas dans la bonne direction, nous devons rappeler aux Canadiens que notre pays a pour objectif d&#8217;atteindre 83 % de ventes de VZE d&#8217;ici 2032 et 100 % d&#8217;ici 2035. Contrairement au Canada, les E\u0301tats-Unis ne proposent pas d&#8217;interdire les ventes de ve\u0301hicules a\u0300 essence.<\/p>\n<p>En raison des nombreuses incertitudes entourant les re\u0300gles finales de l&#8217;EPA, le calendrier et me\u0302me son adoption, MEC soutient la volonte\u0301 du Canada d&#8217;adopter sa propre re\u0301glementation sur les ventes de VZE de\u0300s que possible au lieu d&#8217;avoir a\u0300 attendre qu&#8217;un autre pays de\u0301cide si et comment il re\u0301glementera ses propres re\u0301ductions d&#8217;e\u0301missions de gaz a\u0300 effet de serre. &#8220;a de\u0301clare\u0301 Daniel Breton, pre\u0301sident et directeur ge\u0301ne\u0301ral de Mobilite\u0301 e\u0301lectrique Canada.<\/p>\n<p>Une approche qui s&#8217;appuierait uniquement sur les normes ame\u0301ricaines rendrait le Canada de\u0301pendant des re\u0301sultats re\u0301glementaires, juridiques et me\u0302me e\u0301lectoraux d&#8217;un autre pays.
