Federal Election 2021

Electric Mobility Canada (EMC) has had the privilege to host one-one-one discussions regarding transportation electrification with federal party representatives from the Bloc Québecois (Monique Pauzé), the Conservative Party (Gérard Deltell), the Green Party (Tim Grant), the NDP (Brian Masse) and the Liberal Party (Steven Guilbeault). EMC members were invited to watch these sessions live, and had the opportunity to ask the party representatives their questions.

Prior to these recordings, the party representatives were asked to review and complete a questionnaire. The one-on-one discussions were based on these questions, and the party representatives were given an opportunity to elaborate on their answers during their live interview with EMC’s President & CEO, Daniel Breton. Topics covered included:

  • EV rebates
  • ZEV supply chain
  • EV regulations (ZEV mandates)
  • Infrastructure deployment

As the leading voice of electric mobility in Canada, EMC presented these recommendations to each party to help accelerate Canada’s growing ZEV economy. EMC’s committee of leading policy experts, with representation from all parts of the electrified transportation sector, recommend these priority policies to help achieve the electrification of Canada’s transportation sector and major growth in Canada’s ZEV supply chain.
